Primary Role
This individual will be responsible for developing liquid and lyophilized formulations for protein based therapeutics. This person will perform pre-formulation screening studies, design and execute development stability studies, and assist in the isolation and characterization of degradants. This individual will also be responsible for routine analysis of stability samples and the reporting of results. He/she will assist in the biophysical characterization of the protein to support the recommended formulation. This individual will also be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting laboratory equipment (e.g., HPLC, controlled rate freezer) and will collaborate with the IT group to continue already established IT and scientific partnership. This individual will also support the development of drug product manufacturing processes and may participate in the tech transfer of these processes to contract manufacturing organizations.

Responsibilities
This is a lab bench position and >80% of this individual's time will be spent executing and analyzing experiments as well as supporting stability studies.

Education & Experience Requirements
A B.S. in biochemistry or related discipline with 3-5 years of relevant experience in a biotechnology/pharmaceutical environment is required.

Other Requirements
General knowledge of cGMP and ICH requirements is highly desirable. The individual should have effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work in a goal oriented and timeline driven environment is essential.
